The inn is located in the forest, is very easy to reach by car, in summer you can stay in the beer garden for a long time. The prices are reasonable for the size of the portions. The food is delicious. You get the sign to pick up your order via a loudspeaker announcement. Only the announcements are often incomprehensible.
Great restaurant and great staff ... great menu and tasty St. Martin's goose with dumplings ... last day before lockdown light ... hold on!
Always great ... all very friendly! Daily meal delicious 😋 at a reasonable price
I like it here, the food fits and for a forest inn in this form, the price-performance ratio simply fits.
A nice place in the summer, a large garden and next to the bike paths it is worth going with the family on a Sunday trip. Tasty food
We went to eat there at the weekend with children, very nice staff and also very child-friendly the food was just great price-performance ratio fits perfectly Food was fast because even though everything inside was full the hamlet hut I can recommend going there again at any time.
A nice place to escape from the stressful everyday life for a few hours. Could be more vegetarian dishes, but the three that are there are very good 👍
As always beautiful ✌️🍀🤓 and again and again
Well Quite okay for a beer garden. The food is made quickly and carelessly. So rather fast food with very unfriendly employees. Food quality is okay.
Nice hut with delicious food. There are only a few wasps left. Tarte flambée could take a little longer in the oven, but it's good. Top tip for a nice break. Unfortunately there is no water in the Kneipp pool
Goods on the way, found by accident. Food was good, service was great and friendly. Price performance fits. We'd love to come back
We only had a drink, but what we saw of food looked very tasty. Very comfortable and the service was very friendly. We will definitely go there again.
We had planned a stop on a sporty 40km lap through Schönbuch and then made a stop. The implementation of the Covid-19 hygiene concept is exemplary and can also be recommended for cautious people due to the lush space for the individual tables. The handling at the self-service counter was excellent and the staff behind it was very friendly. The drinks were cold and the Kaiserschmarrn was good. We will definitely come back there. The only downer: the food is shouted over loudspeakers and thus disturbs the atmosphere in the forest. Here it should be considered whether a guest call system would not increase the charm of the beer garden in the future.
Schnitzel with fries was ok for the price. Unfortunately, some guests had not cleared the tables, which attracted a lot of wasps, which then bothered you while eating. It would be good here if the staff could perhaps check this from time to time.
There are 3 stars for the location. The service is efficient in terms of handling guests. Ordered a rose, received a white wine. So much for that. The food is below average. I had a 'vegetarian' salad with potato salad soaked in meat broth, without bread and including unpleasant dressing. The wasp plague is an imposition for every guest. After 30 minutes we left and unfortunately left 25 wasp corpses behind. Therefore no recommendation.
Simply a great beer garden in the middle of nature. You should reserve inside because it is small. Food all freshly prepared and delicious. Always worth a trip
It's self-service, the food was ok with plenty of choice. But you couldn't stay long because of too many wasps. That wasn't so nice!
Price / performance ratio really okay. The food is delicious and the beer garden is spacious. Unfortunately, the wasps harassment was extremely severe today. Several people were stabbed during our stay. The owner can of course not do anything about this, but it has clouded our experience a little bit today. We would definitely like to come back, but then hopefully with fewer wasps.
Nicely located beer garden. Food and drink ok. Not recommended because of the large number of wasps (a real nuisance). Tables are glued and dishes are often left standing. No service staff clears or wipes the tables. Pity!
Beautifully situated with trees that provide shade even on hot days. Food was flawless and went quite quickly. Plenty of parking spaces available. Would love to come back.
Delicious authentic German food and cute location.
Vety busy but great beer
One of my favourite places around Holzgerlingen, if the weather is warm enough to sit outside. Always a good menu, including some great cakes too. And you can go for a walk in the woods after lunch on the trails if you like.
This is a family favorite. I see the other reviewers have posted pictures of inside dining. I have never eaten indoors. There's about twenty picnic tables and that's where we love to sit. The man is basic German fare. You order them they call your number when it's ready. Very relaxed. We always being family and dogs (i.e. family).
So good and such a nice atmosphere
Great hidden gem.
Great location, good beer. The place always seems to be busy, it's a good spot for kids to be able to play while you hang out.
Great for a summer afternoon with friends
Unpleasant staff
Fantastic German cuisine. Clean and orderly, though sometimes quite busy. Highly recommend.
This place is great for the summer after riding bikes in the Forrest. Cold beer and decent food make for a great lunch spot.
Top
Old school place and food, good with kids
Food was only average but interior is welcoming and the staff efficient. Has a nice outdoor beer garden in summer and walking paths in the surrounds.
Nice place. Mixed service.
Good beer at a decent price. Nice area to sit around in as well. Food is a bit pricy for the quality.
Super Location
It's the perfect image of a traditional German Gast house. Food was great and plentiful.
